Sunday Celebration is our newest Sunday morning worship for all ages! It meets on the first Sunday of the month at St Mark’s Church, and serves a continental breakfast from 9am and then throughout the service, which begins at 9.30am. There’s the usual mix of songs, prayers, bible stories, as well as sketches, crafts, and more! The idea is that we come together as the family of God, in all our different shapes and sizes, ages and abilities, and we enjoy being together in God’s house! Children and families are especially welcome, and are free to roam around and get involved as much or as little as they like. Most elements of the service are interactive!
Our theme for this year is “Heroes of the Bible”, and each month we’ll find fun and creative ways of thinking about one biblical heroine or hero and what they can teach us today as we try to be heroes of the faith as we follow Jesus.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join in, and breakfast is free! For more information please contact Revd Michael

The Team from St Mark’s continues to spread the news about our plans for a new building on the Church field in Shavington, to include a range of community amenities. We were present at the Shavington Festival Weekend giving out fliers and balloons to help publicise the project, and answering questions from villagers. We are currently reviewing all the feedback from the online community survey as well as the paper copies. This information will be used to produce the architects brief, which will form the basis of the plans in the autumn! Thanks to everyone who completed a survey — your views will really help us going forward.
A huge thanks to Nev and Steve from St Mark’s who ventured up Snowdon last Saturday 15th July, for a sponsored walk to raise some funds towards the new build project in Shavington. It was a bit foggy en route but the team had a good time, before retiring for a well earned rest!
